Assassins Creed is really cool, but it got robbed of a fair promotion. I couldn't find a promo picture of our main character, Altair, without the dagger he keeps tucked 85% of the time...The promoters ignored the throwing knives which I thought were cool. I enjoyed watching guards fall from rooftops because of a knife he didn't see coming. The crowd below goes crazy, while I'm climbing a tower 30 yards away.
It's funny, Assassin's Creed came out on the same day as Super Mario Galaxy, and like Mario the story doesn't matter.
I couldn't even begin to explain the story of Assassin's Creed, but I could tell you that the game is a lot of fun. The side missions are repetitive, but they go a long way in improving your technique as an assassin.
I replayed a couple of the assassinations after I beat the game. These were the ones that went horribly wrong except for the fact that I managed to not die and kill my target. They all went better the second time around.
